Ticker

Oh & I can't fathom this weight loss ticker out so it's stuck at 18lbs

If anyone can advise please help

Thanks in advance x

Another 2.5 lb off

At my last weigh in (Sat) so now a total of 22.5 lbs

I briefly saw my friend at work today as I was making a mad dash for the exit lol and she's text me tonight saying that I really looked great today. Now I know she's one of my bestest friends BUT she didn't need to say that so she must mean it. I will accept the compliment graciously :0)

On a more sad note, a few weeks ago I found out a colleague was following weight watchers and we have struck up a bit of a buddy friendship, but unfortunately she has been made redundant and left the building immediately today. I really really hope this doesn't affect her weight loss as she is doing brilliantly at a 1lb under 2 stone. I have access to her address so I'm going to write to her and maybe we can keep the support for each other going.

Oooh and I'm loving cycling at the moment. I cylced 6 miles on Sunday and 3 miles on Tuesday evening. I'm intending on going again Friday evening. I have been doing it for a few weeks now but can certainly feel a difference and it's definitely doing wonders for my thighs lol. A few weeks ago trousers in the next size down were still a no no as they were too tight around my thighs, but now they're fine and I am no longer hoisting up my size 20 trousers at work as I am proudly wearing a size 18.

Anyway off to bed for me, I'm shattered and eyes are stinging typing this. So keep focused everyone and we'll all be skinny minnies before you know it x

Decided to Change Weigh In Days

I normally weigh in on a Tuesday at home as I can't afford to go to class as husband is on a short working week at the moment.

Anyway I decided I am going to change my weigh in day to a Saturday as I felt it is more the beginning of the week. I go shopping so cupboards, fridge is well stocked, etc. It is more likely to be the day I socialise and as I will have a week until next weigh in, it takes a bit of pressure off. Not that I drink an awful lot anyway but there you go.

So my weigh in today reports a 2lb loss so I am pleased as it's not even a full week as last weigh in was last Tuesday. That makes a total of 20lb and I am still feeling really focused and positive.

I have been doing this for 3 months now and worked out today that if I can continue to lose at my current rate then I am a quarter of my way already and will be at goal in another 9 months. As the last 3 months have passed so quickly I feel that 3 x what has already passed seems nothing.

I am also feeling excited and am really looking forward to the prospect of enjoying clothes shopping. Currently I hate it and it is really a dash in, have a quick look at something that will fit the occasion, pay and dash home. Just don't enjoy it at all & I miss clothes shopping with friends. When I was smaller I used to do it all the time, but can't even remember the last time I went clothes shopping with friends.

I have my dinner planned for this evening, which is a ww pizza and salad. Never had one of these pizzas before but will try one as the rest of the family are having pizza tonight so wanted to have the same for a change. Only theirs is a normal full fat one lol!

I also fancy a couple of Budweisers which I am going to have. I will point it all and we'll see how I go, I have 10 points left for today, the pizza is 5 and salad nil, so that leaves me 5. I'm not sure how many points a Bud is but will go and check Noreen's website.

This is it!

I started weight watchers on 19th January 2009 and so far have lost 18lbs :-D

From following the 5+ board on ww site, a few of the successful weight watchers keep blogs, so thought I'd give it a go to keep me on track.

When I was younger I never suffered from being overweight (or obese as my BMI tells me lol). It was only after my first child that I could no longer seem to get away with eating what I liked and the weight started to creep on. I was also diagnosed with an underactive thyroid a few years ago which hasn't helped. I know it is possible to lose weight with this condition, although I am also aware it may take slightly longer.

I am married with 2 girls. My pic is from our holiday last July and I am probably at my heaviest at around 18st 3. I would love to get down to 12st, but equally I would be happy being a size 14. I am quite tall at 5' 10 and know I am happy at a size 14. Currently I am just going into a size 18 and am donating all clothes that are getting too large for me to charity straight away so there is no excuse to go back into them.

Currently I am very motivated, people are just starting to ask me if I have lost weight and I feel very focused. My brother is also getting married in July 2010 and I would love to be a size 14 by then.

Please join me in my journey to a healthier, lighter, fitter, happier me!

And to all my fellow weight watchers - we can do this :-)
